The first official AORTA meeting was held on Saturday 27 June 2009. Jacqueline Brook addressed the origin of astrology, the philosophy on which astrology of The Tradition is based, its Biblical links (it is not a diabolical craft) and Biblical and mythological symbolism. The medicinal properties of Saturn and his rulership of herbs constituted the planetary section of the lecture, presented by Louis van Aswegen.
