Definition of the acronym AORTA:

The aorta is the main artery carrying blood (the life force and the red solar energy) from the left ventricle (the Moon, the handmaiden of the Lord rules the left side of the body) of the heart (ruled by the Sun the symbol of God, the Lord of Light).

What is AORTA?

A group founded in April 2009 and officially launched in June 2009 to address two primary areas - to meet the requirements of astrologers of the Tradition and to promote astrology to the media and public.

What is The Tradition of astrology?

Sub sections exist in all crafts – all doctors do not practice the same medicine and all lawyers do not practice the same type of law - this too is the case with astrologers. Astrology is a broad term that describes the study of the movement of celestial bodies and the subsequent interpretation of these movements with regards to human affairs. There are many different types of astrology in use, and astrology of the Tradition is based on sound principles and philosophies, and utilises methodologies which are quite different to systems used by many of the modern branches of astrology. Astrology of the Tradition is more than just an astrology – it hinges on a philosophy without which the astrology is simply nonsensical.

That said, it is not necessary for the client contacting the astrologer to subscribe to those beliefs or philosophies, it is simply the foundation from which an astrologer of the Tradition assesses the astrology itself.

Extensive studies of ancient texts are required in order to become proficient in this craft, as well as the ability to use true common sense, not the nonsensical applications of the word today. Astrologers of the Tradition adhere to a hierarchy in their studies, entering the portal through horary astrology. Only once this level has been addressed does the astrologer have the skill to enter the realm of nativities.

How can astrology be used?

Astrology is used to find clarity in situations where the person is unable to make decisions, to assist in career or vocational choices, to make provision for future events or occurrences, to elect the time to launch a new business – the list is endless as everything that exists can be located in the chart.

There are various astrology services available in the Tradition:

  • Horary astrology – this answers specific questions which the natal chart cannot.
  • Natal chart assessments – to better understand ourselves, our strengths and weaknesses and our relationships and to change behavioural patterns that are self defeating.
  • Predictions – to assess the lay of the land for the specified period in order to plan correctly.
  • Electional astrology – all things that have a beginning can have a birth chart. It is far wiser to elect the time to start a new business, get married or to have surgery so that the best possible outcome is provided for.
